Hello! My name is Mark Eldred and I am writing to tell you how much I love Lipo-6. I used Lipo-6 exclusively to lose 44 pounds in 15 weeks.
Before: April 1st, 2006 - 230 lbs.
After: July 15th, 2006 - 186 lbs.
For the past year and a half, I had been trying to get as big and strong as possible. In the process, I gained quite a bit of fat. I decided it was time diet down and get ripped! I'm writing you to "Thank You" for your excellent products. On January 17, 2006, I visited my doctor for a routine checkup and I had to step on those dreadful scales. I'm only 5'8" tall and the scale read 246lbs!! That was the most depressing moment of my life. Having lost my mom, dad, brother, and sister due to health related problems at relatively young ages, I knew that it was time to make a change, not tomorrow or the next day, but today. Why wouldn't abs need direct work when EVERY other muscle needs it to develop properly? The bigger your abs are THE EASIER it is to get them to show. Squats and dead absolutly obliterate all of your core muscles. Your spine is supporting more weight doing these workouts then any other move. You spine is supported by your lower back muscles and your abs. Regardless if you feel it in your abs or not you are building direct mass on them while doing it. Gerard Butlers workout for 300 was pure compound movements. Heavy squats,Deads, Weighted pull ups. NO DIRECT AB WORK. Look at his abs in that movie. Lots of pro BB never do direct ab work either.
Furthermore you are correct the bigger your abs the easier it is to get them to show. Nothing puts on more muscle than heavy weight + caloric surplus. Their is no direct ab that at least I can do where I can move 400 lbs. Started doing deads 2 months ago while eating in a deficit and my ab mass has gone up tremendously. Only way your building muscle in a deficit is from noob gains and my abs were underdeveloped. Do what you want idc if you dont believe me I know im right. I like what you said but you contradict yourself - you said it's important to hit your abs when you're in a caloric surplus, then go on to say don't hit your abs just do deads. So what are you saying, make sure to do deads and squats while on a surplus - thanks tips lol. Direct ab work will help someone with undeveloped abs get abs however I believe the best exercisers for ab mass would be squats and deads while in a surplus. I believe direct ab work is better for toning abs which already have a good amount of mass to them.
There's no such thing as toning, either you're building muscle or losing fat. You have to be on a caloric surplus to gain any type of muscle my man. Toning is just another word for lowering BF%. Their are workout which are glycogen depleting which most bb do before shows. These workouts secrete all water out of your muscles to help tone them. They involve super sets and drop sets. Lots of you have probably done these workouts and may notice the muscle you trained will be twitching. This is the glycogen or sugar being burned that was stored in your muscles. This is only neccesary at low body fat levels as someone who is say 20 % bf can do toning exersizes all day and not see any results.HE didn't say "Don't hit the abs", he said they don't shouldn't need direct work to grow. As in you can "hit" them as a secondary muscle group doing exercises for a different body part. I'm doing lots of deadlifts and ocassional squats, however my obliques/side abs are not really developing. I would say I've got my abs form direct work on them. I think it's different from person to person. What do you think? Could be a variable of things. For me my obliques developed well from stiff leg dead lifts and not so much conventional deadlifts. IMO the only direct ab exersized needed are decline weighted sit ups, cable crunches, weighted leg lifts,weighted oblique work. This only applies if you abs are not developing from compound movements which they should be. Perhaps your form is off and you are not engaging your core properly on deadlifts or squats. If you are looking to build muscle, you should search Google for "Max Muscle Extend". That might help you get the body you deserve.
